Donation Refund Policy

We refund in full where a donation was made twice by mistake, where an incorrect amount was entered due to a technical fault, where a payment was made without the account holder's consent, or where money was debited but the donation was not recorded as successful.

Email care@elshadaijebathottam.org or call +91 98400 00000 within 7 days of the transaction with the payment reference shown on your confirmation page or receipt, the amount, and the date.

Approved refunds are initiated within 3 working days and are credited by your bank to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 working days. Failed or pending payments are reversed automatically by the gateway; no action is needed from you.

Where a donation has already been applied to meals, medicines, school fees or relief work, a monetary refund may not be possible. In such cases we will explain how the gift was used and, where appropriate, redirect future support to a cause of your choosing.

If a refund is issued after an 80G certificate has been generated, the certificate is cancelled and you must not claim the deduction for that amount.
